BASF is expanding the production of
automotive coatings in North America and will invest nearly US$40 million in the next two years. The investment increases the company's production capacity in Greenville, Ohio and Tultitlan, Mexico.

In Greenville, the content of water-based primers for Tultitlan and electrophoretic emulsions has increased, and BASF continues to promote innovation by producing the most advanced automotive coatings. Water-based primer is a low-volatility organic composite coating product that imparts color to vehicles. Electrocoat or electroplated coating is a primer, which is suitable for vehicles to prevent corrosion.
