July 14, 2022 at 5pm EST — The Woodlands, Texas — The Huntsman Corporation (NYSE: HUN ) announced that it has begun commercial operation of a new methylene diphenyl diphenyl Isocyanate (MDI) distillation unit.
Huntsman is located in Texas, North America The new MDI rectification unit in Geismar State will produce higher value differentiated MDI products.
This $180 million distillation unit , can help Huntsman obtain higher value and differentiated MDI grade products from the distillation of MDI mother liquor, thereby promoting the growth of its key customer applications.
Tony Hankins, President of Huntsman Polyurethanes Division ( Tony Hankins, said: “The new distillation unit strengthens our ‘value over volume’ strategy by creating a more differentiated product portfolio. Provide more innovative and sustainable polyurethane products to our customers.”

Guests included Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, local officials, key customers, suppliers, members of the Huntsman senior leadership team and Geismar employees.
