1. China’s TDI import and export comparison in 2018

The decrease is mainly due to the high domestic price and limited export willingness of manufacturers.
II. Comparison of China’s TDI main import sources in 2017-2018
South Korea is still China’s largest source of TDI imports, accounting for about 58% of China’s total imports. In Saudi Arabia, with the commissioning of Sadara, China’s imports from Sadara have risen to about 14,000 tons this year, and there will be a further upward trend next year. This year, Saudi Arabia accounts for about 23% of China’s total imports.
3. 2017-2018 TDI Exporter Comparison
In terms of export, Covestro is still the largest exporter of TDI in China, and the export volume in 2018 is estimated at 62,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 37.7%. Its export volume accounts for about 70% of China’s export volume. At the same time, thanks to the relatively good domestic RMB prices, other domestic factories are not doing much export this year. Except for Covestro, the total export volume of other manufacturers and traders this year is 261.7 million tons, a small increase of 1463 tons compared with last year. An increase of about 6%.
