Mangalore, India – May 25, 2022 – BASF has expanded its Automotive Coatings Application Center in Mangalore, India. As an integral part of BASF’s existing R&D facility for automotive coating solutions, the Automotive Coatings Application Center covers an area of more than 400 square meters and is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, such as high-precision spray booth temperature and humidity control and electrostatic spin coaters, and Advanced quick connect system for electrostatic applications. The facility has been carefully designed to enable customer-oriented R&D activities while accurately simulating an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) paint shop.

BASF also has automotive coatings application centers in Shanghai, China, Totsuka, Japan and Bangpoo, Thailand in the Asia-Pacific region.
