Data released by the International Aluminum Association (IAI) on Wednesday showed that global primary aluminum production in August was 6.044 million tons, slightly higher than the 6.03 million tons in July and an increase of 1.6% from 5.95 million tons in the same period last year.
China's primary aluminum production in August was 3.6 million tons, slightly higher than the 3.588 million tons in July and 2.2% higher than the 3.521 million tons in the same period last year.
