According to the Ministry of Commerce’s Important Production Materials Market Monitoring System, this week (September 4-10, 2023), the average price of coal in Yunnan Province was 1,271.8 yuan/ton, an increase of 0.9% month-on-month. Among them, the average price of thermal coal was 825.4 yuan/ton, up 3% from the previous month; the average price of coking coal was 1,990 yuan/ton, up 0.5% from the previous month; the average price of anthracite was 1,000 yuan/ton, the same as the previous month. The demand for replenishment by downstream enterprises increased, and coal prices rose slightly month-on-month. It is expected that in the later period, metallurgical, chemical and civilian industries will be actively restocking, and coal prices may rise slightly.
