According to foreign news on September 26, data released by the American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday showed that U.S. crude oil inventories rose last week, while gasoline and distillate inventories fell.
Crude oil inventories increased by approximately 1.6 million barrels in the week ended September 22. Gasoline inventories fell by 70,000 barrels, and distillate inventories fell by about 1.7 million barrels.
Analysts had expected that U.S. crude oil inventories would fall by about 300,000 barrels last week. Gasoline inventories fell by about 100,000 barrels, and distillate inventories, which include diesel and heating oil, were expected to fall by about 1.3 million barrels.
