According to monitoring data from the Ministry of Commerce’s important production data monitoring system, the coal market price of monitored sample enterprises in Fujian Province this week (October 2-8, 2023) averaged 1,488.44 yuan/ton, a month-on-month decrease of 0.1%. Among them, the market price of anthracite coal was 1,273.33 yuan/ton, a month-on-month increase of 0.3%; the bituminous coal market price was 1,596.00 yuan/ton, a month-on-month decrease of 0.2%. Overall, the coal market prices of sample enterprises monitored in Fujian Province fell within a narrow range last week. During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Golden Week, coal mines maintained normal production and coal supply was stable. As the temperature dropped, downstream companies maintained a wait-and-see attitude and mainly purchased on demand. It is expected that coal market prices in Fujian Province may adjust stably in the future due to changes in supply and demand.
